My title says everything. I installed eclipse Galileo in UBUNTU. Past 1 week i have been troubling to access Eclipse. It opens, and if i write anything, it exit automatically without any error notification. Some times it didn't opening at all. I've searched all around internet but my problem hasn't resolved.

Please anyone help me to overcome this problem. Where it went wrong?

Note:
Operating System: Ubuntu 10.04

Are you able to try a newer Eclipse release such as
download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/drops4/S-4.2RC2-201205242100/index.php
? It may work better for you, and if not, it may at least dump a crash
file with some helpful info.

Was this a new installation or was it working for the last while and only just started crashing? (Perhaps bad memory -- run memtst86.)
Have you installed some new system updates recently? (Perhaps a XulRunner conflict?)

Is there anything n your .../workspace/.metadata/.log?
