Chart listeners / SWT [message #86287] Tue, 01 November 2005 13:53 Go to next message

I'm wondering whether I can do the following with the chart engine. I want
to listen to mouse move events on a chart rendered with SWT and display
the X and Y values outside of the chart.

I've looked at triggers, but this only get's me a tooltip, url redirect or
script execution. It also requires a hover.

What I'm looking for is something like
Chart.addMouseListener(IChartMouseListener listener) that would respond
with an ChartMouseEvent containing X and Y values. Any idea how to acheive
this affect?

Thanks,

--- Patrick

Hi Patrick,

We will provide this feature in 2.0. Please check the functional
specifications at http://www.eclipse.org/birt/wiki/index.php?n=BPS.BPS37. I
will add more details about the API for this functionality soon.

Thanks,

David
