Hi,

I have just upgraded to Eclipse Juno and created a little OSGi application. I managed to get the console to work in the Eclipse IDE by adding the org.apache.felix.gogo.* bundles.

When I try and run the org.eclipse.osgi_3.8.0.v20120312-2035.jar directly from the command line I never see the osgi> prompt.

I tried using org.eclipse.osgi_3.7.1.R37x_v20110808-1106.jar and the osgi> prompt appears almost immediately.

The command I use is the typical: ">java -jar org.eclipse.osgi_3.8.0.v20120312-
2035.jar -console"

Why does the osgi> prompt not appear?

Hi,

In addition to the three gogo bundles, you also should start org.eclipse.equinox.console bundle. Do you start this one? If you don't, the prompt won't appear, because the gogo bundles are not enough.
