[ATL] How to trace the ATL rules [message #82912] Fri, 30 May 2008 08:19 Go to next message

I assume that if the target model is empty (no output for the target
model, just shows some simple XML), it's mean the translation rules is
incorrect.

I know that if i remove the problem rules, the ATL file can generate some
outputs. However, i really would like to know what wrong with that rules,
or what parts of the rules cause a problem.

So, is that possible to trace the ATL file and see what outputs are
generated step by step ?

Thank you very much.

It should be possible if you have the source ATL file(s). Chapter 5 of the ATL
manual (version 0.7) explains how to do this. The short story is to switch to
the Debug View.
