The not so simple matter of inverting ssh terminal colours [message #823778] Sun, 18 March 2012 17:55 Go to next message

RSE is a powerful tool, thanks!

I am a network administrator and look after many linux machines remotely. I want to invert the default colours of RSE ssh terminals from black on white to white on black without having to reconfigure the .bashrc on the remote machines. I'm using RSE 3.2.2 in Aptana 3.0.9.

There is an Aptana preference to invert colours but I have found this is only relevant to Aptana's built in terminal so this doesn't help.

I would like to stick with RSE as ssh connections are a breeze and launching a terminal in a specific folder is a very handy feature.

Can anyone help regarding configuring the RSE plugin locally to get inverted colours?

Many thanks,

Chris

Have you tried Window > Preferences > Terminal : Invert Colors ?

This works in plain Eclipse. If it doesn't work in Aptana, then it is an Aptana problem. I know that they have forked their code from the original Terminal, and they have added their own color management infrastructure.

I suggest opening a bug with Aptana:
