firefox and tptp [message #76370] Wed, 05 July 2006 11:20 Go to next message
Eclipse UserFriend
Hello

I try URL recording with firefox. At first I had to remove the following
line from my prefs.js
user_pref("network.proxy.autoconfig_url", "http://myURL");
otherwise it throws the error that autoconfig is not supported.
My other proxy settings are correct.

When I try to start a test suite it starts firefox but then my cpu is up
to 100%.
I stop recording without entering an URL, it closes firefox and generates
a big rec file. The last TRConnection entry looks like following:
<TRCConnection type="OPEN" ticket="7001" connectionNumber="1747"
timestamp="8383">
<servername>
localhost</servername>
<port>1080</port>
<clientInetAddress>xx.xx.xx.xx</clientInetAddress>
<clientPort>4217</clientPort>
</TRCConnection>

I assume it tries to establish 1747 connection till I aborted the
recording.
I also can't laod an URL, firefox hangs during loading.

Where could be the mistake I have done???

Thanks

Hi Allon,
What version of TPTP and OS are you using? This is a tested scenario
and should work after changing the "Window >> Preferences >> Test >> HTTP
Recording >> Application to Record" preference.

Hi Allon,
My appologies for the late reply.

This scenario has been tested in the last test pass (TPTP V4.2.1). Can
you try the same recording session with the latest TPTP stable drvier
( http://www.eclipse.org/tptp/home/downloads/drops/TPTP-4.2.1- 200608041327.html)?
