Servlets refuse to compile [message #79687] Thu, 03 March 2005 05:36 Go to next message

First of all, hello to the group.

I've just started using the eclipse webtools for J2EE developpement, and
am deploying onto Tomcat5.0.

My problem is that if I create a web project, and then create a non
annotaded servlet in this project, when I try to run the servlet on the
server, the server gives me a 404. further investigation reveals that the
WEB-INF/classes directory isn't created, and if I add it by hand, it isn't
used for compiling the servelet.

Any help would be much appreciated.

TIA for your time.

David
