Hi!
I have a customer who wishes to have a polyline drawing tool in the palette with the bendpoint feature found on connections without the lines being connected to any graphical object. What would be the best way to implement this if possible?

Connections can't live on their own, so I would suggest to offer a tool for
starting a polyline in the palette; that tool would create a small or rather
invisible shape plus a freeform connection to a second small or invisible
shape. The two shapes could be visualized similiar to the bendpoints on the
connection.
