Hi, I am very new to CDT. Could someone give me some examples (example
projects) of using the CDT under Linux? Thanks.

Is it possible to use a project which is previously created on a different
platform (e.g. QNX Momentics --> Linux)? Or vice versa?

It is pretty straightforward. You will start a new project with your
projects root directory. When you have the project in the Navigator as a C++
project, you will use Eclipse to modify the source code as if you were using
any editor. Makefiles or any other build tools are used to build to project,
and you get an interface to gdb to debug your program. So there is no reason
why you could not use Eclipse + CDT with any previously existing project.
The help files tell ou how to start a project.

I see differences in QNX Momentics project files. There is no common.mk file
in Eclipse under Linux.
I've tried to use a project from QNX Momentics. The Linux IDE couldn't load
it.

What's actually within that common.mk file?
How does it look like?

I can't see a difference between those environments yet.

The project created with QNX Momentics as a QNX project can not be used on
Linux. You should to write your own makefile.

That's exactly what I wanna be sure of. I asked this because we are planning
to develop projects on multiple platforms. Two of them are QNX Momentics and
SuSE Linux. We are sure to use QNX Momentics because currently we are using
QNX 4.5. We are looking forward the possibility of using Linux as well.
Thanks for the information...
