Rebuilding the GUI on a browser reload [message #73003] Wed, 06 February 2008 08:31 Go to next message

When the browser is refreshed (intended or accidentially) during a running
RAP application, the GUI is redrawn in a fresh state with a new session.
In our case this means the user has to log in again, navigate to the
correct part of the app and possibly lose some unsaved data. Is it
possible to maybe encode some kind of session token in the url so that the
GUI is redrawn to its previous state on a browser refresh?

Thanks for your input,

Hi,

unfortunately this isn't possible by the time being. But to avoid
reloading the application accidently you could use the branding settings
'exitConfirmation'.

Ciao

Frank,

thank you very much for pointing me to the branding section. Exactly what
I needed!
