[CDO] Launching server programmatically [message #727409] Wed, 21 September 2011 04:18 Go to next message

Hello, I have an hard time trying to find out how to launch a CDO server programmatically. I would like to be able to start and stop it through APIs and possibly also tune it/interact with it while running. What document I missed and I should read?

Thank you,

Federico

org.eclipse.emf.cdo.examples.server.DemoConfiguration (
http://dev.eclipse.org/svnroot/modeling/org.eclipse.emf.cdo/trunk/plugins/org.eclipse.emf.cdo.examples.server/src/org/eclipse/emf/cdo/examples/server/DemoConfiguration.java
) is one example.

In org.gastro.internal.server.OM.Activator.doStart() (
http://dev.eclipse.org/svnroot/modeling/org.eclipse.emf.cdo/trunk/plugins/org.gastro.server/src/org/gastro/internal/server/OM.java
) is another.

Does this help?

Cheers
/Eike

This is really helpful. By the way I just subscribed to Eclipse Magazin and I asked if it is possible to have the issues with your article. That would be a wonderful way to improve my poor German Smile

Thank you!

Hehe, that's a nice idea ;-)

In case they don't have these old issues or you can't wait for them, here are the online links:
