Enabling hooks in EGit [message #720334]

Hello,
I Integrated IBM Rational Clear Quest through Tasktopand EGit to eclipse workbench in WIN7.During commit the user/file info must get automatically updated in the CSCRM(Clear Quest) database. For this i enabled commit-msg hook. but not successful.
I used sample hooks provided in the hooks directory of EGit.
Anybody who has done similar kind of integration, Please help me.

EGit doesn't support hooks yet.

No, git hooks do not yet work in EGit/JGit.

There is bug 299315 for this: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=299315

Is there any alternative method to customize EGit for the following feature to work..?
