Hi,

I am looking for eclipse platform for AIX 7.1. Eclipse 3.6.2 and 3.7 both are for AIX version 5 and 6. I cannot find a version that would support AIX 7.1. Wanted pointers to know if someone has come across the plan for eclipse for supporting this platform?

Have you tried running Eclipse 3.7 on it? And if it doesn't work for
you, does it crash, hang, terminate, etc?

Not tried on AIX 7 as the distribution clearly mentions that it is supported for 5 and 6.

You should just try it. The list of supported platforms is influenced
by what's available for the developers to test on. We don't have an AIX
7 installation yet, so it would be difficult to claim support for it.
However that doesn't necessarily mean that it won't work there. It's
quite possible that AIX 7 will be added to the platforms list for
Eclipse 3.8, but I would not hold back from giving Eclipse 3.7 a try in
the meantime.
