unable to start Tomcat 5.0.8 in Eclipse 2.0 [message #69130]

jdk 1.3.1_07

tomcat 4.1.31

and tomcat 5.0.8

my prblem is if i point Eclipse to tomcat 4.1.31 tomcat will start
without any problems.

but if i change it so that it points to the 5.0.8 tomcat it gives the
following errors.(preferences -> tomcat, click on Tomcat 5.x radio button,
and choosing the tomcat 5.0.8 home directory)

<terminated> C:\jdk1.3.1_07\bin\javaw.exe(date)

can somebody please help me out on this.
