I know someone has done a lot of work to rewrite the commit dialog. Sorry to say that, but in my opinion was a big mistake.
While all dialogs follow the default look and feel of the operating system, this particular dialog looks totally different now for no apparent reason. And please don't let the bugfix be to change all other dialogs as well!! Eclipse has a common was of presenting dialogs and also the commit dialog of egit should use the same way.
Beside that it really makes checking for changes really complicated! Having lots of changes in the list down below with only a tiny icon showing what has changes is a big issue!
Please, dig out the old dialog and revert those changes!
