EGit Creation Review results [message #5045] Tue, 05 May 2009 12:29 Go to next message
Eclipse UserFriend
Hello all,

Since there has not been a request from a member of the Eclipse community
to hold this review on a conference call, there will be no Review Call
tomorrow (May 6, 2009).

The EMO has declared this review to be successful based on the review
docuware and on community feedback. Congratulations to the EGit team on
their successful review.

Please contact emo@eclipse.org with any questions. Thanks.

Hi,

I want to be committer in this project and try do the paperwork as listed
in http://www.eclipse.org/projects/dev_process/new-committer.ph p#Paperwork
I fall into category "M" and have to fill out the "Member Committer
Questionaire". I am routed to the http://portal.eclipse.org ... but there
I can't find the Questionaire? Where is it gone?

Ciao
Chris

I don't know.

I tried to do the same thing, but its also missing. I assumed it was
because my employer and Eclipse don't have a member committer agreement
in place. Checking around the office seems to indicate that really was
true for us... the company had not yet completed the legal paperwork.
So we're doing that now.

Our company has signed the Member Committer Agreement around 2 years ago
but also for me the link to the corresponding Member Committer
Questionnaire given in section M on
http://wiki.eclipse.org/Development_Resources/HOWTO/Nominati ng_and_Electing_a_New_Committer#Paperwork
points to an empty portal page.

That's weird. Usually you should get to a log-in page where you login
with your Bugzilla account. Note, your Bugzilla email address must be
the same that you use officially (your companies address).

I'm a bit unclear about the following steps. You may have to wait till
the project got provisioned to get the link for filling out the
committer agreement.

Yes, but after logon I see a page containing just a hyperlink to bugzilla
and a logout button.

Hence I now sent a mail to emo to get help.

thanks

I have opened this bug to suggest we improve the process and/or the way
the information is laid out:

Hey Chris. I see that you're listed on the project proposal [1] as one
of the initial committers. Once the project provisioning process starts
(and I believe that the Foundation is still waiting for the provisioning
request), you'll be contacted by our team and provided with everything
you need.

FWIW, you have to be invited to become a committer; we have no explicit
process for applying to be one. Since you're listed as an initial
committer, the invitation is on its way...

HTH,

Wayne
