Programtically added Elements - How to place them? [message #671297] Tue, 17 May 2011 08:37 Go to next message

Hi there,

I add my Elements programatically. It could be different types of nodes and different types of connections between the nodes. But how do I handle the look and place the elements correct.

What I want is to place the created elements, especially the connections should be straight lines only with 90 degree angles. The elements should be placed depending on the connection. So the element which is the source of the connection should be first, then the connection and then the target node.

I hope you understand what I mean and can help me.

No one with an idea how to get the connection only with 90 degree bends?

Hi,
I do not get the idea what u want to do, may uploading an image would be
helpful. If u want to connect different nodes with connection with 90
degree bends u could implement ur own Layout and use it.

I add the nodes and the connections between the nodes programmatically, thats no problem. But the some connections don't look quite good. So what I want is that the nodes are placed somehow in a hierarchical way and the connections should be straight lines and when they have bend they should only be 90 degrees.
For example it should look like this.
