I'm trying to generate P2 metadata from a site.xml using org.eclipse.equinox.p2.publisher.UpdateSitePublisher. When I run it I get this error:
Status ERROR: org.eclipse.equinox.p2.artifact.repository code=0 org.eclipse.equinox.internal.p2.updatesite.SiteModel cannot be cast to org.eclipse.equinox.internal.p2.updatesite.SiteFeature java.lang.ClassCastException: org.eclipse.equinox.internal.p2.updatesite.SiteModel cannot be cast to org.eclipse.equinox.internal.p2.updatesite.SiteFeature

That does not help me to diagnose the issue. Is there a way to turn on more verbose output?

OK this is my error. The code I was using to generate the site.xml created bad XML. The way I figured this out was to go back to Generator and it gave me a stack trace which lead me to the subtle xml error. How come UpdateSitePublisher could not give me a more meaningful error?
