Css or Styles for multiple reports? [message #664977] Tue, 12 April 2011 12:31 Go to next message

Hi,
I have two questions concerning css vs styles in reports.
1. Should I use a css when handling many reports that share many styles?
2. Is there a way to "export" the Styles of one specific report into a css--file?

Tnx in advance!

(1) If you plan to have multiple reports and want the same look and feel, then yes you should use a common CSS file and "USE" (not "IMPORT") it.

(2) No, there's no way to export your styles to CSS. At least none that I've seen. You'll have to write the CSS file manually.

You can export your styles to a template and/or a library and use the template and/or the library in your different reports.
This solution has the advantage that you don't have to rewrite your style in a text-css format.
