Indigo (3.7M5) + RAP - batik & w3c missing [message #658186] Mon, 07 March 2011 05:31 Go to next message

I have installed last version of RAP, which says me to need Eclipse 3.7. I have installed Indigo 3.7M5 + RAP + BIRT target plugins. But after 3 days of trying I don't know how to overcome strange problem with org.apache.batik.util.gui, org.w3c.css.sac and org.w3c.dom.smil plugins. Those plugins arre missing, despite they look to be right versions and are present in target. After I have manually added them into run cunfiguration, they are active, but still not visible for another bundles. Here is an example:

ss command output:
243 INSTALLED org.apache.batik.util_ 1.6.0.v200805290154
280 ACTIVE org.apache.batik.util.gui_1.6.0.v200805290154

Bundles validator () says:

Require-Bundle: org.apache.batik.util.gui; bundle-version="0.0.0"

Dependency in org.apache.batik.util MANIFEST.MF:

Require-Bundle: org.apache.batik.util.gui;version="[1.6.0,1.7.0)"

start 243

org.osgi.framework.BundleException:
The bundle "org.apache.batik.util_1.6.0.v200805290154 [243]" could not be resolved.
Reason: Missing Constraint:
Require-Bundle: org.apache.batik.util.gui; bundle-version="0.0.0"

Where can be problem ? Is it a bug or my mistake ?

I found reason of problem.

Require-Bundle: org.w3c.dom.smil;version="[1.0.0,1.1.0)"

was ignored by eclipse, so I changed MANIFEST in batik jars to bundle-version.

Got the same problem and find the same solution. Why do batik plugins have errors in MANIFESTs? Or is it eclipse problem to recognize this "new" parameter?

Hi Yury,

since these bundles are produced by the Orbit project, this is a topic
for the Orbit forum [1].

Regards, Ralf
