How to tell Buckminster to prefer source bundle? [message #656613] Sun, 27 February 2011 09:39 Go to next message

Hi all,

I have created a p2 site containing a metamodel feature and corresponding
plugins (as source as well as binary jars).

Now I want to use the source bundle in a subsequent build job.

With
buckminster.download.source=true
buckminster.convert.source=true
I reached that Buckminster downloads not only the binary jars, but the
source jars, too.

The problem is that the binary plugin seems to have a higher priority than
the source bundle.
This causes Buckminster thinking that imported packages do not exist. How
can I specify that Buckminster should use the source bundle? A cspex file
for the dependent plugin defining a dependency to the source bundle did not
help unfortunately.

Regards
Axel

There must be some misunderstanding. A source bundle will not (and should not) fulfil any package requirements. They are
there for reference only. You still need the binary bundle in your target platform in order to get things work.
