Can't Get Eclipse to Run [message #654071] Sun, 13 February 2011 20:13 Go to next message
Eclipse UserFriend
While using Eclipse this week I decided it would be best to turn on the auto-update feature to check for update every time Eclipse is started.
After restarting Eclipse numerous updates were found, so I chose to install them.
I then closed Eclipse.
I tried to start Eclipse a day after and after the Splash screen is shown a message stating: "An Error has occured. See log file (folder path to log file)"

Here is the log:

Any ideas as to how to solve this?

Thanks in advance.

Reinstall Eclipse. Seriously - it got seriously damaged during update.
If you are able to reproduce the failure constantly with the fresh
install, please post the steps here and eventually open a bug.
