Hey,
I wonder if b3 can be used as cache for Buckminster. That means that an rmap refers to a repository build by the b3aggregator, this repository searches for the plug-in and downloads it (e.g. from Eclipse Update Site) if needed. The second time this plug-in is needed, it can be fetched from the local repository.
Is this the way b3 could work? And if not, what is the use of b3? Are there other possibilities to do realize my idea?

b3 aggregator creates an aggregated p2 repository either as a composite
repository (with links to other sites), or as a mirrored site.
Once the site is created, there is no communication back to the
aggregator (it is not aware that someone is asking the generated
repository for a particular piece of data).
Maybe you want to look at a combination of a composite repository and a
p2 pool...
