RESTful project on Glassfish results in resource not available [message #642953]

Environment: Win 7 64 professional with helios JEE.
Very simple helloWord test.

Facts:
Same code deployed from Netbeans to Glassfish 3.01 works.
Project configured for Tomcat 7 and started from IDE works as expected.
Project configured for Glassfish, started from IDE doesen work. I.e. the default JSP page is shown, but extending the URL to the Web service results in Status 404, The requested resource () is not available.

Building a war with maven and deploying on Glassfish works.
Building a war with eclipse export to war and deploying on Glassfish fails!

Where is the bug? Comparing the resulting WAR-Files didn't show significant differences, but maybe knowing where to search would show it.
