Running and debugging eclipse tests [message #642033]

I would like to go through (run and debug the test cases created by eclipse in order to follow the same testing procedure for a plugin I am developing.

I tried two method but did not manage to get test cases working

1) Downloaded all the CVS test cases as shown in this tutorial:
http://www.vogella.de/articles/EclipseCodeAccess/article.htm l#versioncontrol. The problem with this method is that I get a lot of missing dependencies even after downloading all the projects on the CVS. Do I need some jar files?

2) Downloaded the JUnit Plugin Tests and Automated Testing Framework and Example Plug-ins from the eclipse download site ( http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/drops/R-3.6.1- 201009090800/index.php) and tried to follow the instructions bundled in them as well as the tutorial on http://www.eclipse.org/articles/Article-PDE-Automation/autom ation.html (Part 2 that describes Automated Tests). I could not import/build the Automated Testing Framework properly in eclipse.

Could someone please point me in the right directions whether one of these methods is correct.. and if I can find some tutorial that describes better how to get the test cases working.
