Preferences keep resetting [message #641767]

Because the debugger takes so long to start, Eclipse times out when trying to attach. The settings in Window|Preferences|Java|Debug is the solution to this, because I can change the timeouts. By changing them from 240000 to 1000000 I'm able to get the debugger to attach, but why do those settings keep going back to 240000????? How do i get my settings to stick?

This works fine for me using 3.6.1 and latest 3.7 build (N20101128-2000)
assuming the the same workspace is used.

I had a similar problem until we upgraded to a later version. Works fine now.
