[Xpand] Changes in 1.1 [message #641626] Fri, 26 November 2010 06:42 Go to next message

Hey,

it seems that the Xpand development comes to the next release 1.1 in the next days. I unfortunately cannot find a roadmap describing when the next version is released.

I also cannot found a changelog or something like this what consists of the changes in Xpand 1.1.

So my questions:

1) Is there a roadmap for the further development of Xpand?
2) What are the changes / new features planned in the next releases?

Thank you!
Stephan

Hi Stephan,

Xpand will be maintained but I doubt that any new feature will be
implemented for the language. Instead there are ongoing efforts to
develop a successor based on Xtext which is called Xtend2 and unifies
the advantages of Xtend and Xpand. An early draft of the Xtend2 spec
will be available in the next days.

Regards,
Sebastian
