Hello all,
I'm an old Mylyn user but I have a probably dumb question.
On the New and Noteworthy page for Mylyn 3.4 at
http://www.eclipse.org/mylyn/new/ I see that now, when working with the
Bugzilla connector, if you do an "Open corresponding task" from an
history element (in CVS, I guess) Mylyn will open the corresponding task
in Bugzilla and scroll to the corresponding comment.
My question is: how can it work? I mean, until now I always had to
commit my task change set and submit a task modification (inserting a
comment, for instance) in two distinct operations, so how is that Mylyn
can connect them together? I think it could do if the two operations
could be done atomically with an only action that commits the change set
and posts a comment (maybe also marking the task as "resolved").
What am I missing?

The matching is based on time. The action opens the comment that was posted
closest to when the corresponding commit was made.

By the way Steffen,
I think that allowing to commit the task changeset when you submit a
change to that task would be very useful. In this way you could simulate
an "atomic" commit+task closing/changing.
A checkbox (unchecked by default) like the one for submitting the
context would be enough here...
What do you think?
