Hello,

which licenses are allowed for an Eclipse RCP application?

Concretely, are these licenses allowed?:

1) GPL (v2 and v3)
2) LGPL
3) MIT
4) Apache 2.0
5) EPL

Greetings,
Nikolay

Hello I guess the only ones you can use are "soft-copylet" ones like:

2) LGPL
3) MIT
5) EPL

Hi.

You are free use any license that allows you to bind your code to EPL code. EPL is a permissive license, you can ship your product in almost whatever license you want. The difficulty is to qualify whether what you are doing in "derivative work" or not.
See http://www.eclipse.org/legal/eplfaq.php

Hi Michael und Moley,

thank you for the short and good answers! It seems that EPL is most suitable for an Eclipse RCP application.

Possibly it could be dual-licensed with EPL and LGPL, but is not typical for the Eclipse and Apache projects themselves:
