Unable to print a Task List or a Task detail [message #503895] Wed, 16 December 2009 04:42 Go to next message
Eclipse UserFriend
Hello!

I want to send a copy on paper of the task I intend to work on to my project leader, but I am unable to print any of my tasks or the whole task list.
The Eclipse Print Menu stays disabled when I select them.

I think I miss something again, because this feature is surely implemented and used a lot (I use version 3.3.1 of Mylyn), but I just can't find it in the User Manual.

Thanks for your help!

Regards.

Grunt.

Printing is not supported by Mylyn but there are commercial extensions such
as Tasktop Pro that provide printing functionality:
http://wiki.eclipse.org/index.php/Mylyn_Extensions

You can find more background and discussion around printing in Mylyn on this
bug:

198875: [out of scope] support printing Task Editor and Task List contents

Hello!

If SWT API is unable to print, please use XSLT or Swing but don't tell us it takes too much time to do a printing.

Don't tell us that we don't need it.
This is not a feature out of scope at all.

Grunt.
