Hi all,

i've got two questions:

1. Is there a WYSIWYG-Editor for building RAP GUI's?
2. Is it possible to run RAP based applications in a portlet environment
(liferay 4.3)? Are there any examples?

Thanks,
Markus

Reg. 1: AFAIK there is no WYSIWYG editor for RAP out there. The closest
thing is to use an WYSIWYG editor for SWT and then to port the resulting
code.

These are the SWT UI editors I'm aware of:
- Visual Editor (latest stable release for Eclipse 3.2 only, free)
- SWT Designer by Instantiations ($, free for non-commercial use)
- Jigloo SWT/Swing GUI Builder by Cloudgarden ($, free for non-com. use)

Regards,
Elias.

What do you mean with "port the resulting code"?

As RWT provides a subset of SWT, the one thing that may occur is that
generated code contains API that RWT does not (yet) support.

In many cases the generated code will work, and in some cases not - in
the latter case you need to get rid of the none supported api, I
wouldn't call that porting.
