SWT Package missing? [message #33870] Tue, 12 November 2002 00:28 Go to next message

Hi,
I just downloaded the latest stable release of Eclipse. I tried following
the help files to use some SWT examples ("Window menu select Show View -->
Other. In the Show View dialog, expand SWT Examples and select the view
named SWT Layouts. A view titled SWT Layouts will appear in your current
perspective.") There was no SWT Examples to expand. They simply were not
there. Any ideas on what I might doing wrong?

Thanks.

Hi,

You need to download the examples too because they are not included in the
SDK. You can do this from the same download page. After you downloaded and
unzipped the example plug-ins, Eclipe will run the Update Manager at the
next start to finish the install.

Regards,
Csaba

PS. I think the eclipse.tools is a more relevant place to ask questions
about 'core' Eclipse.
