To evaluate TPTP I'm profiling a local Java application. The application
runs and terminates correctly and when I choose to output the results to a
file TPTP does indeed write values to this file. However, when I try to open
any of the views after profiling I only get empty views containing the

But, if I import the contents of the output file that was saved to disk I
can see the results.
Now, I should be able to get the results without doing the import right? Did
anyone encounter similar problems?

Note that you can't profile to a file and view the results in the
workbench *at the same time*. If you profile to a file then your views in
the workbench won't be populated. To view your profiling results in the
workbench do this:
In your profile launch configuration, click on the profiling tab -> select
the destination sub-tab -> make sure 'send profiling data to a file' is
unchecked -> switch to the overview sub-tab -> click on the add button to
create a new profiling set -> next -> select the profiling options that
you want. If you want graphical details, you have to have execution time
analysis selected and click on the 'show execution flow graphical details'
radio button -> next -> set your filterset -> finish.
Use this profiling set to profile your application.
