model reviews - as attachements? [message #486623] Fri, 18 September 2009 09:07 Go to next message
Eclipse UserFriend
Hi,
the attachment works when getting the news via a newsreader. The forum
client however decided to show it in encoded text form (!!!).

So, any proposals how to review progress made on models?
I will have the models checked in, and I could also check in the .pdf
files and just post URLs to them.

How/Where would you like to review models?
- attachments to posts in this newsgroup
- links to PDF files in SVN
- Checkout the diagrams from SVN (to also see all details, comments, etc.)

Regards
- henrik

As long as it is straightforward to know what version of the
document has what comments, then that would work.

You could put the PDF into SVN, and we could refer to the
rev number for comments in this forum.

When the documents change, the check-in comment should
link to the pertinent discussions in the forum, and those discussions
should be terminated with a post containing a message like

"This discussion has been addressed in r2133"

The models will be SVN for mucking about with too, right?

cheers

Bugzilla would perhaps be a better alternative - with model revisions as
attachments. I.e. the same way as patches are discussed. We don't have
an entry in bugzilla yet though.

And yes, models will be in SVN so anyone can "muck about" :)
