At the European Face to Face meeting last week (Nov 9/10), we decided to
start up a European User Group. The initial focus of the Group will be to
provide a forum for people to learn about the EPF project and its products;
and exchange experiences in using EPF Composer, OpenUP and other initiatives
associated with EPF.
We have targeted late February 2006 for the first meeting (tentatively
around February 21/22) with the likely venue to be somewhere in the vicinity
of Heathrow airport. We are in the process of pulling together a very strong
list of speakers and topics, with good support already from a number of key
people.
What we would like to know from you is whether you would be interested in
joining such a group and attending the first meeting. We need to try and
assess how much demand there is at this stage, so we can scale the events
and organisation appropriately.
If you are interested in joining the group and attending this meeting,
please let us know by posting a reply to this announcement.
Many thanks
Mark Dickson
EPF Committer

I am interested in joining such group as well. I will not attending f2f
meeting, it's too far away.

We've thought about this for a long time and now have a plan.
We are targeting May for the first European EPF User Group meeting. The
date will be decided soon to immediately follow the next Committer meeting
in the UK.
The venue will either be Oxford or the Heathrow airport area. We are
building a list of speakers at the moment and expect to have strong
agenda. Registration will be free and we will tell you how to register
soon.
In the meantime, if you are interested getting involved - to attend, speak
or sponsor - please let us know by responding to this post.

Hi Mark,
I would be keen to both attend and potentially talk as well (if
space/content acceptable)
I work with a few people here in London who I'm sure I'd be able to tempt to
come along as well. We are all just getting into using EPF-C currently.
regards Charles
