Shrawanika,
I believe it currently doesn't work standalone, but a little bit of
restructuring should be able to fix that. Please open a bugzilla
feature request to ask for this.

Shrawanika,
How long it takes to fix a bug depends a lot on how busy folks are and
on what the other development priorities are. Serious show stopping
bugs are usually are fixed quickly, i.e., for EMF itself we try to fix
such bugs within a week, but this doesn't fall in that category. I
would hope that this would be fixed before M5; I don't think it's much
work to fix...
