MinGW/Msys tools in Eclipse CDT Console View [message #559200] Wed, 15 September 2010 19:13 Go to next message

Hello,

I'm trying to run some MinGW/Msys tools in Eclipse CDT Helios under Windows 7. Tried to run the rxvt shell as an External Tool in the Console view but without any success.

However, both the bash and sh shells run fine.

Further, I'm also unable to run Msys terminal emulations for rxvt, telnet and ftp as external tools. Is it posible to run these programms as in the console view?

Any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks

Hello Russel,

Thanks for your link suggesting the CDT forum.

Unfortunately the same issue also happens with Eclipse Classic, for example. It is not really CDT specific. That is why I posted my question to this general forum.

Apologize if there is possibly a trivial explanation I'm missing, but I' am absolute beginner with Eclipse.
