Launching ant or any other script on the project import [message #557528]

Eclipse User

I want to perform certain task on the file system whenever the user imports the project file for the first time. Is there any mechanism for doing that?
Though as a workaround I can create a new builder, but builders get executed very often, and in my case I don't want to waste cpu cycle for this trivial task, which is required only first time.
