Please fill in the correct term in the following two sentences.

A software that transforms a model into some other artifact (model, text, source code, etc.) belongs to the class of ________________ . For example, the XtendComponent is an instance of ________________.

"Model transformers"?
"Model transformation engines"?

What are your suggestions? Which terms do you use in your daily work?
