ANT and memory issue? [message #54781] Thu, 29 May 2003 15:09 Go to next message

I run Eclipse on a win2k box. The first time I compile my project using
ANT, the memory usage jumps about 40 meg. (and doesn't get released after
the compile is finished.) Each time I compile after that, memory usage
goes up between 2 meg and 5 meg., until eventually I get an out of memory
error and the application crashes.

Is there something I need to be doing to force garbage collection?
configuration changes? or is there a memory leak?

All help is appreciated.

Thanks,

John

Please see https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=24448

In the latest integration builds you can specify to run Ant in a separate
VM.
See https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=24129 for more details
