Have you ever needed to work on two code segments in the same file simultaneously? Copied something from one place to another with small manual changes?
Or perhaps copied a flow with variations from one file to another?
Split Screen !!
Word has it, why not eclipse?

Jonathan,
This isn't a technical newsgroup, it's for asking questions about the
operations of the Eclipse foundation itself. Try asking on the platform
or newcomer newsgroup. Or better yet, search bugzilla first; no doubt
someone else has asked for it. Note that with drag and drop, you can
have side by side editors, and if there is more than one type of text
editor available for the file, e.g., the Java Editor and the basic Text
editor for *.java files, you can have two side by side editors using
Open With.

I'm still learning about Eclipse, but can't you do that already if you have Windows 7?
