I am in the process of upgrading our system from BIRT 2.3.2 to 2.5.2. I have 2 Data Sets defined in the report library and then a Joint Data Set defined which joins these 2 Data Sets. The individual Data Sets work fine in 2 other reports. But, the report that uses the Joint Data Set is now failing with a complaint that it can't find the 1st of the 2 Data Sets.

If I copy the Joint Data Set definition from the library into the report, rather than referencing the one in the library, the report starts to work fine.

Any ideas as to what changed in this regard between 2.3.2 and 2.5.2, and more importantly what can I do to rectify the problem?

Bill,

Can you open a bug for this? Also can you try making any change to the
library and saving it as 2.5.2?

Yes. that was my first thought. I have upgraded the library to 2.5.2 format.

I'll open a bug report.
