Setup question: How do I connect to my JDK? [message #524150] Tue, 30 March 2010 19:21 Go to next message
Eclipse UserFriend
I'm totally new to Eclipse.
I just downloaded the IDE and am able to run it.
I looked at the preferences and it looks like it found my JRE - otherwise I guess the IDE would not have started.

I want to use Eclipse for JSF web and Java application development, but I don't know how to connect to my java libraries.

The whole setup/configuration process is not intuitively obvious.

Any detailed help or a specific tutorial on Java specific setup would be appreciated.

Thanks

There is a Java tutorial in the Help documentation included with
Eclipse. Open up Help->Contents. In the Java Development Users Guide,
Open up Getting Started and follow the Basic Tutorial.
