Splash screen with transparency [message #522513]

I'd like to show a rounded image as my splash screen. I have a PNG file with
transparency used for the rounded edges. As I understand it, only a bitmap
file can be used for the splash screen. Is this correct? If so, is there a
way to specify a transparency color to be used for the bitmap splash screen?
Or does anyone have any other ideas? I tried messing around with
AbstractSplashHandler, but didn't have much luck.

Any pointers is greatly appreciated.

Anyone have any idea on this? Please see my workaround attempt post on 3/25
as well, called "Using Java 6 Splash Screen with RCP.
