When I use the google search at the top of the topic listing of this forum, the search performs a search over the whole eclipse forum site (i.e including other forums).

How do I search just this forum?

You can't search in a specific forum )-: See this bug:

try the query: inurl:news.eclipse.platform.rcp <your keywords here>
