As a committer of the MOFScript model to text tool, I welome the M2T
initiative and hope that I and the MOFScript development team can contribute
to the project. As a co-submitter (supporter) of the MOF2Text OMG standard,
we would like to see this technology as one of the core components in M2T,
and are happy to see that Compuware will contribute their MOF2Text
implementation to Eclipse M2T. We are furthermore planning to support the
standard within the MOFScript tool.
Related to the point in the M2T proposal on traceability between generated
models and text - we see this as a very important aspect in M2T and we are
currently working on a solution in our tool to support traceability. There
should probably be a common effort on this within the M2T aiming for a
Traceability as a core technology that can be shared across tools. One part
of this is a standard traceability model. Traceability in M2T should also
take into account integration with M2M traceability in order to support full
lifecycle traceability in model-driven development.

Hi Jon,
thanks for MOFScript - it's a fantastic tool. We use it now in the new
4.0 release of AndroMDA (see www.andromda.org). Especially the
metamodel-aware editor plug-in for Eclipse makes it easy to create
MOFScript scripts.
As the founder of AndroMDA, I also welcome the M2T initiative which is
very valuable to the MDSD community.
Let's keep up the good work!
