I could not find an example on how to create/configure/use a tree viewer (nothing in tests)...
Could you provide an example? - If possible, using emf data binding...

You can find some examples about JFace in org.eclipse.e4.xwt.tests plugins. It is in eclipse CVS repository.

Tree structure relies on ContentProvider. You can define your ContentProvider to determine the Tree structure. We may provide a DefaultEMFContentProvider, which create the tree through the containment.
