I frequently (every minute) get these long hourglass (actually spinning
ball) pauses while editing source code. It can just hang there for 20 or
more seconds. Is this some code analysis feature? If so then how do I
disable it?

Thanks!

You can try some configuration in:
* Windows->Preferences->C/C++->Editor. There different features that you
can disable.
* Windows->Preferences->C/C++->Indexer. Try changing configuration in
Indexing strategy.

Also check in "Error Log" view (Windows->Show View->Others->Error Log)
whether some exceptions are thrown ...

Thanks,
Yevgeny
