Jason,
I have not used it for a while and therefore hope, it has improved a
little, but using Mylyn's (HTML) Report you can certainly create such lists.
I did so in Agile projects where each Sprint required us to be reported.
So my reports were once or twice a week, but you can of course run it on
a daily basis, too.

Jason: please file an enhancement request for this. We could make the
Scheduled presentation of the Task List show containers for the past.
Currently we only show the future.
