Differences between connectors / preferred connector [message #47751] Wed, 24 June 2009 13:59 Go to next message

Hello,

is there a place their the different connectors are described? Which one
is the recommended connectors which should be used?

In the update manager I see:

JavaHL (Version 1.5 and 1.6)
Native JavaHL (Version 1.5 and 1.6)
SVNKit (Version 1.2.2 and 1.5)

I also have one item "Subversive SVN Connectors". Will this install all
connectors?

Best regards, Lars

Hello Lars,

I just created an issue about connectors on FAQ page, please see
http://www.eclipse.org/subversive/documentation/faq.php#conn ectors.
If you select only 'Subversive SVN Connectors' feature, it will not install
all connectors. If you want to install the connector, you need to set it
explicitly.
There are following options:
SVNKit:
SVNKit 1.2.2 For SVN 1.5
SVNKit 1.3.0 For SVN 1.6
JavaHL:
JavaHL 1.5.4 Win32 Binaries and Native JavaHL 1.5 For SVN 1.5
JavaHL 1.6.0 Win32 Binaries and Native JavaHL 1.6 For SVN 1.6
You have two features for JavaHL connector because the first one (Native
JavaHL) is JavaHL wrapper and second one (JavaHL Win32) is JavaHL binaries
specific to platform (in current case to Windows).
